Sthira Sukham Asanam literally translates as “Steadiness” (Sthira) “Ease” (Sukham) “Posture/comfortable seat” (Asanam). Therefore, we strive to find steadiness and ease within your posture. The underlying essence of yoga is to still the mind, allowing the physical to unite with the causal creating unity through both body and mind.

During this 7-hour workshop, Dav will explore the fundamentals of traditional asana and how to develop a yoga practice that has its roots in instilling calmness and ease throughout all forms of yoga practice. Dav will share fundamentals on the necessary muscle engagements in each of the standard yoga postures along with transitions practiced in modern-day postural yoga.
